Laughter was coming from the kitchen. I was sitting in the living room when I heard the words, “You better not let your grandma see you. If she does, she’ll take your picture.”
So of course I grabbed my camera and rushed out to investigate. My grandson, Aaron, stood there looking like his Mom had, until just recently, when she delivered a baby girl.
He had something stuffed under his shirt to make it look like he had a baby inside there. Being so unexpected, it was hilarious. Everyone was watching his antics and laughing. Aaron was parading back and forth while proudly showing off the huge bulge underneath his clothes.
After taking a couple of pictures I teasingly said, “I’m going to put these on Facebook.”
To my surprise he said, “Good. Do it. I want to see them on there.”
Watching my kids and grand kids always brings joy and puts a smile on my face, most of the time.
I can’t imagine the joy it brings to God, when his children do something to make Him smile.
Isn’t it amazing that the God who created all things, with just a word, looks down from heaven and takes pleasure in some of the things we do?
For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation. Psalms 149:4
